Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

United Employment Solutions is hiring for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Huntington Beach, CA

$1000 Sign-on Bonus for the right candidate, Providing the candidate adheres to the company's Attendance policies.

As a Production Mechanic, you will be responsible for the production equipment, production projects (assigned by management), following maintenance programs of the Personal Care in the Production Area, which includes all Line equipment (Fillers, labelers, Cappers, Torquers, pluggers, Tubers, check weighs, cartons, pumps, conveyors, Ink-Jet printers), and all packaging related equipment.

Job Description Roles and responsibilities :

• Responsible for keeping production lines, machines, and all related support equipment in working order or assisting in improvements.
• Maintain up-time and downtime targets.
• Repair and modify machines and all related support equipment safely, correctly, and per OEM and OSHA standards.
• Assist production with responding to internal and external audits and health inspection observations responsible for assigned Preventative and Corrective Maintenance programs being performed on schedule and accurately.
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
• Maintains a safe work environment and operates safely.
• Perform other related job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.
• Keep the area clean and pick up after any cutting, welding, and grinding.
• Other miscellaneous tasks

• Proficient skills in reading, writing, and speaking in English; bilingual (English/Spanish) skills a plus;

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Communicates orally with management, employees, co-workers, vendors, suppliers, and the general public by telephone or in person, in one-on-one or group settings.
• Regularly uses a telephone, computer (e-mail), and fax for communication.
• Required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods during the work shift.
• Routinely required to stoop, bend, kneel, lift, reach, pull, push, and tilt objects in the performance of job function.
• Requires the essential use of hands, speech, eyesight, and hearing.
• Noise level for this work environment is typically moderate to high. Some work areas require hearing protection for an 8-hour work day.
• Periods of odoriferous environment.
• Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Personal Protective Equipment is provided as necessary.
• Work environment may involve exposure to chemicals, solutions, detergents, or solvents that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of personal protective equipment.

Expected hours: 40 per week and necessary overtime when necessary

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday
