AVP In-House Mortgage Originator

Description/Job Summary

Position Summary:

To originate permanent In-house TRID loans originated to include all consumer real estate loans. This position will actively work with lender referrals to originate and service loans as needed. This position will need to know how to process, originate, underwrite, and close loans.

Major Duties & Accountabilities:

• Take part in and embrace the Legacy Culture by giving outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Work with internal referral sources to originate and service consumer real estate loans as needed.
• Interview and take applications from prospective mortgage loan customers.
• Price loans according to established parameters.
• Underwrite consumer real estate loans and present for approval.
• Make proper disclosure to all consumer mortgage applicants by abiding by all federal mortgage disclosure requirements.
• Coordinate with referring officers to ensure strong communication with external customers.
• Accountable to ensure proper documentation for all approved and closed loan files and follow-up to collect necessary documentation post funding.
• Work with third party vendors to coordinate loans.

Required Qualifications

• Required:
  • 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years banking OR bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred:
  • Previous experience processing TRID loans.
  • Previous mortgage experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related.
