We are seeking a Digital Content Coordinator to join our team.

Who We Are

An industry leader in both print and digital educational publishing, World Book delivers engaging content to equip students, parents, and teachers with the tools they need to reach academic success. We first launched the World Book Encyclopedia in 1917 and, since then, have expanded to produce nonfiction and mixed-genre children’s books, reference materials, digital learning platforms, teaching guides, and more—all upholding the same standard of innovation, trustworthiness, and readability upon which we were founded.

We recognize that equal opportunities for education can make all the difference in a child’s path. With our market-leading and award-winning digital and print products, you will be an integral part of our 100+-year mission to develop a passion for lifelong learning in every person we reach. In this role, you will interact with educators in schools and libraries as well as business leaders and organizations that share our vision.

This position will support a growing area of World Book, providing a unique opportunity for the right person to help define our approach to delivering supplemental instructional content for new and existing classroom products.

This position offers the following career opportunities:

  • To join a mission-driven organization that supports children with academic solutions
  • To help shape the next generation of World Book products
  • To participate in a new, key initiative in a fast-paced, challenging environment

A Successful Candidate Will Have the Following:

  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to succeed in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Technically savvy, especially with JIRA, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat; experience with Content Management Systems and Digital Asset Management systems a plus.
  • Exceptional people and relationship development skills with a proven record as a team player.

Here’s a look at the essential duties of this role:

  • Translate existing print and digital content into digital learning materials and integrate technology and multimedia for use by teachers for in-person, blended learning, and virtual program models.
  • Develop blueprints, frameworks, and models to build out supplemental resources for digital products to support instructional needs.
  • Coordinate deliverables from contractors, vendors, as well as internal sources and ensure all content meets QA (Quality Assurance) standards.
