Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Summary of the Job: Under moderate supervision, fix and trouble-shoot equipment and maintain preventative maintenance on the equipment in the facility. Maintain parts inventory and analyze bad disk drives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on all machines using appropriate electronic and mechanical tools.
2. Fix or solve any issue/problem found on all machines from preventative maintenance functions.
3. Check, repair, replace, and perform preventative maintenance on drives, loaders, and PC boards with appropriate electronic tools
4. Perform analysis of bad disks and take appropriate corrective action
5. Maintain parts inventory
6. Provide CD Assembly support
7. Requisition tools, equipment and supplies
8. Perform basic office equipment trouble-shooting
9. Order, maintain and ensure all protective equipment and clothing articles are in their proper places.
10. Audit processes and procedures for compliance and quality in conjunction with ISO 9000 standards.
11. Continually seek out ways to improve quality of service.
12. Assist Facilities Supervisor in implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 responsibilities and adhering to the Code of Conduct.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Work closely with Facilities Supervisor in any matter requested or needed
2. Perform other job responsibilities, as necessary and/or assigned
PHYSICAL/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
2. Ability to move 75+ pounds
3. Ability to bend, stoop, stand, squat, crawl, or lay in positions to adjust, repair and/or restore equipment for long periods.
4. Ability to move racks of materials of up to 300 pounds
5. Must have good manual dexterity
6. Ability to work in a warehouse environment where temperature is affected by weather conditions
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
1. 2+ years of related background with significant PC experience
2. Effective communications to be able to communicate with company staff at all levels and with vendors, in addition to documenting, maintaining and ensuring accurate records of all safety and security issues
3. Must be self-directed and a self-starter, with ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
4. Must possess excellent problem-solving, trouble-shooting and analytical skills
5. AA degree preferred in mechanical or electromechanical discipline.
6. Valid (Class C) driver’s license
