Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pool Manager to oversee the daily operations, staff management, and customer service at our aquatic facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences to patrons.
Position: This position will oversee Concession Stand and Lifeguard Staffing Schedules. They will be required to work 11 weekends from June 3 to August 18 and some weekdays each week. This position will help with ordering inventory for the Food Service and Swim Club Departments. This position will be responsible for overseeing weekend swim club events and the 4th of July event this year.
Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management: Supervise all aspects of pool operations, including maintenance, safety compliance, scheduling, and programming, to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
2. Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise pool staff, including lifeguards, instructors, and maintenance personnel, to maintain high standards of professionalism and performance.
3. Customer Service: Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere by providing excellent customer service to patrons, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and implementing feedback.
4. Program Development: Develop and implement aquatic programs and events, such as swim lessons, and special events, to meet the needs and interests of the community.
5. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, conduct regular inspections, and respond promptly to emergencies to maintain a safe environment for patrons and staff.
6. Budget Management: Assist with managing budgets for pool operations, staffing, maintenance, and programming, optimizing resources to achieve financial goals and objectives.
7. Communication: Effectively communicate with staff, patrons, management, and stakeholders through meetings, reports, and other channels to convey information, address concerns, and facilitate collaboration.
8. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to pool operations, safety, and sanitation, and ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in pool management or a related field, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
- Certification: Hold a valid Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or equivalent, with knowledge of pool chemistry, filtration systems, and safety protocols. (This is not mandatory for this position)
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, team-building, and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire staff to achieve excellence.
- Customer Focus: Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and creating positive experiences for patrons of all ages and abilities.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands effectively.
- Communication: Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and adapt to changing circumstances.
