Job Summary:
The Quality Manager for the Indianapolis plant will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Site Quality system to assure that all products are manufactured according to ISO 9001:2015 and/or cGMP (21 CFR 110), FAMI-QS, GFSI, or FSSC22000, site policies/procedures, and product specifications. The position will be the primary point of contact for resolving customer complaints, including ensuring corrective action implementation. The position serves as the key lead for quality or quality agreements within our global operations including facilities outside of Indianapolis. The Quality Manager also manages corporate level initiatives as assigned and drives continuous improvement across the Organization, and is also the champion of influencing a robust quality culture at the Indianapolis site.
Responsibilities:
Compliance:
- Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and arrangements
- Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
- Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times
Role Specific Responsibilities:
- Maintains ISO 9001:2015 and FAMI-QS certifications
- Maintains and improve HACCP program for B3 product line
- Coordinates GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) certification for B3 product line
Qualifications/Desired Skills:
Education & Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Analytical Sciences (chemistry preferred) required; Graduate Degree preferred
Experience: (industry and job specific)
- 5-7 years’ experience in Quality Systems Management (ISO 9001:2015, cGMP, and HAACP experience preferred)
Knowledge & Skills: (incl. specific training requirements)
- Problem solving skills including the ability to analyze technical data and execute creative and balanced decisions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities
- Excellent planning and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to flex own style as needed to influence and drive results
- Ability to work within a multi-functional, global organizational structure and exhibits robust interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and ability to work within a fast paced environment
- Critical thinking skills and analytical abilities which allow assessments of situations and opportunities
- Ability to work within a chemical laboratory and production environments and ability to use personal protective equipment as required
- Exhibits a passion for continuous improvement and problem solving
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
