Modern Work and SCI Architect

Job Description

We are excited to share a highly rewarding and hands-on opportunity for a skilled and experienced Architect to join our Modern Work & Secure Identity Team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for scoping, managing, and conducting Modern Work, Entra Identity, and Azure engagements, including deployments, professional services, security assessments, and ongoing service management.

You should have a firm grasp of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, and Azure services. The ability to think outside the box and deliver innovative solutions is valued by our team. This role will be both internal and customer facing. The successful candidate will be able to communicate with customer contacts including C-suite and executives as easily as with their teammates.

As part of this team, the successful application will have oversight and responsibility over assigned, Microsoft Cloud Security Assessments, SilverSky's Managed Defender MxDR offering, Azure Engagements, as well as SilverSky's Managed Modern Work services.

This will be a remote position for the ideal candidate.

Modern Work and SCI Architect Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned as required)

• Scope and perform a variety of Microsoft Cloud engagements, specializing in Security, Compliance, and Identity.
• Perform Microsoft 365, Azure, and Defender Reviews.
• Keep cybersecurity training and knowledge current by monitoring the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Write clear and concise Security Optimization Assessment reports detailing findings and recommendations for remediation of identified vulnerabilities and perform debriefs with customers.
• Coordinate and lead client kick-off and discovery sessions to answer questions from prospects and clients.
• Work collaboratively and independently with teammates to provide license based and professional services to our clients.
• Ensure successful, secure cloud journeys for SilverSky customers and partners by utilizing expertise in security, and collaboration blended with a deep understanding of the regulatory pressures faced by SilverSky's regulated customer base.
• Develop and Automate service management tools and processes.
• Identify and provide improvements on existing services, including continuous improvement of existing methodologies, tools and reports.
• Serve as a mentor to Modern work Engineers and Administrators and support them in their work.
• Assist in pre-sales efforts as a Modern Work and SCI subject-matter expert.

Essential Skills / Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years' experience as a Microsoft Architect. Exchange, AD / Entra, Teams, and Defender experience is desirable.
• Relevant industry qualifications (ATT&CK CTI, Microsoft Certified Expert, etc.).
• Strong experience with MITRE ATT&CK framework as it relates to Microsoft on-premises, Modern Work, and SCI solutions.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Intune, Defender, and Entra ID.
• Strong experience in Microsoft Partner Solutions (GDAP, Graph, etc.).
• Strong experience in Microsoft Graph / PowerShell and Kusto Query Language.
• Knowledge of various operating systems and networks, especially experience with Windows, and Active Directory.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills in English.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a consulting role.
• Experience in Multi-Tenant and highly regulated environments.
