Immediate long-term Opportunity for a Warehouse Clerk Assistant
Production Floor and Shipping/Receiving Dock
- Bilingual Spanish Required
- Required Work Schedule 7:00 am to 3:30 pm overtime when needed
- Required OSHA Forklift Certification (Sit-Down and Stand-Up Reach)
Reports to: Production Supervisor, General Manager, and Quality Control Manager
Job Summary:
- The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Clerk is to coordinate and facilitate all paper trails directly tied to inbound (receiving) and outbound (shipping) materials/products, warehouse inventory, and other associated production paperwork (daily, weekly, and monthly focused).
- Take direction from the Production Supervisor to better organize and maintain Raw Material inventories, Finished Products, and Work Order schedule; with an underlying goal of increasing production productivity/efficiency and reducing behind schedule situations (within reasonable provisions).
- Enhance communication between cross-branching departments: Administration, Shipping & Receiving, Quality Control, and (as needed) Formulator R&D.
- Take direction from the Production Supervisor and Management to better coordinate, start & completion, the standardization of new/old protocols, procedures, programs, and various internal forms.
- Prepare (create/edit) product/material identification labels.
- Create and Maintain adequate record keeping of Inbound Chemical Raw Materials and Outbound Products – INVENTORY; identify waste for disposal. Maintain and enforce cleanliness standards of the entire shop area.
- Report and reinforce all production floor safety procedures/violations – without exception.
- The position will have a 90-day probation period with the purpose/goal of familiarizing the Warehouse Clerk to major production, quality control, and administrative operations.
- After that time, the Warehouse Clerk would be expected to take on increasing responsibility and begin to contribute to the organization’s (move forward) goals.
- Essential Functions:
- Mainstream Work Order paths by entering, updating, and maintaining associated paperwork. Position REQUIRES organized record keeping, maintaining proven filing system(s), and timely reporting.
- Alert Management and Technical Personnel of any suspicious inventory items.
- The Clerk is the primary responsible party for receiving (efficiently/accurately with quality assurance) all inbound materials/products. File and/or appropriately route corresponding paperwork.
- Clerk is the primary responsible party for shipping (efficiently/accurately with quality assurance) all outbound materials/products. File and/or appropriately route corresponding paperwork.
- Prepare (create/edit) product/material identification labels (various phase-specific labels).
- Operate forklift for loading and unloading of shipping trucks and in-house inventory racks.
- Responsible, after Management approval, for organizing warehouse raw material inventory.
- Maintain warehouse orderliness and cleanliness standards, including timely waste disposal.
- Assist Management in standardizing new/old protocols, procedures, programs, and various internal forms.
- Load and stretch-wrap pallets for shipping.
- Receive and break down incoming pallets and deliveries.
- Stock shelves and racks with incoming goods.
- Office and grounds keeping maintenance and odd jobs. Non-Essential Functions:
- Pull stock for orders and manufacturing (when necessary).
- Perform and record weekly maintenance on warehouse equipment (when necessary).
- Education: High school diploma plus 2+ years of experience in manufacturing operation –
- PREFERRED. Experience: 3 – 4 years prior experience in a manufacturing operation or similar labor position –
