Senior Highway/Roadway Designer

ALL-Ways Engineering is seeking a full-time Senior Highway/Roadway Designer to join our team!

As a Senior Designer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of complex highways, bridges, and municipal projects. You will use software such as Bentley MicroStation, Open Roads Designer (ORD), and Project Wise; perform 2D & 3D modeling, and plan reviews using Bluebeam. You will have opportunities to develop and/or learn to develop project schedules using Primavera P6 scheduling software and develop construction cost estimates. You will help create detailed technical drawings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to bring projects to life. Your precision and creativity will be essential in turning concepts into tangible designs.

Senior Designer Requirements and Qualifications:

• Eight (8) years (minimum) of profound expertise in MicroStation,
• ORD, ProjectWise, GEOPAK, and Bluebeam with a demonstrated ability to create complex 2D and 3D designs.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and development project deliverables (Design Files Management ORD
• Workspace, Sheet setup, plan details Development, Construction
• Cost Estimates, General Notes, Construction Specifications, etc.)
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in design work to ensure precise technical drawings and models.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Senior Designer Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 2D and 3D designs/drawings, models, and schematics, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers and project managers, to integrate MicroStation/ORD designs into overall project plans.
• Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, and engineering change orders.
• Will be required to train and develop staff to support your role in your absence.
• Conduct design reviews and evaluations to identify and resolve design issues, ensuring the final product meets design and safety standards.

Office hours on-site are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional overtime as needed to meet project demands.

$2,000 sign-on bonus (payable at 6 and 12 months)
Excellent compensation, bonuses bringing compensation up to $82,000 to $90,000 per year or more; depending on the experience level.
