Job Title: Assistant General Manager
Location: La Jolla, CA

Reports To: Store Manager

Responsibilities:

Pillars To Success: The Assistant General Manager plays a pivotal role in achieving retail success by embodying Feature's ethos and overseeing crucial aspects:

  • Product:
    • Maintain optimal stock levels aligned with traffic, trends, and client demands.
    • Manage brand sell-through, enabling product swaps between locations.
    • Ensure adequate supply levels for customer satisfaction.
    • Proficiency in operating scheduling, team management, Shopify, and inventory software.
  • Staffing:
    • Analyze store traffic to adjust staffing.
    • Enforce company policies for effective team management.
    • Identify and nurture internal talent for potential growth opportunities.
    • Delegate inventory tasks efficiently among staff.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Oversee daily dashboards and mitigate inventory issues promptly.
    • Manage shrinkage by addressing inventory discrepancies.
  • Sales:
    • Drive the team to meet quarterly sales goals and engage in proactive client outreach.
    • Foster and maintain a robust client book while encouraging staff-client interactions.
  • Operational Strategy:
    1. Assisting in the development and implementation of operational strategies to optimize store performance, enhance customer experience, and meet sales targets.
  • Project Management:
    1. Overseeing and leading special projects or initiatives within the store, such as store renovations, new product launches, or marketing campaigns.
  • Staff Development and Coaching:
    1. Playing a key role in the training, mentorship, and development of staff members, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities, and guiding them to achieve their potential.
  • Conflict Resolution:
    1. Handling escalated customer complaints or internal conflicts among staff members and providing resolutions effectively.
  • Sales Analysis and Planning:
    1. Analyzing sales trends and patterns to identify opportunities for growth, recommending strategies to increase sales, and actively contributing to sales planning.
  • Quality Control and Compliance:
    1. Ensuring adherence to quality standards, company policies, and procedures in all aspects of store operations, including inventory management, customer service, and safety protocols.
  • Financial Management:
    1. Assisting in financial aspects such as budgeting, expense control, and monitoring key performance indicators to achieve financial targets.
  • Inventory Control and Analysis:
    1. Collaborating with the management team to manage inventory levels, conduct regular inventory audits, and identify opportunities to optimize stock levels.
  • Store Performance Reporting:
    1. Generating regular reports on store performance, analyzing data, and presenting insights to senior management for decision-making purposes.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of progressive retail management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills and a track record of team development.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and retail software.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced retail environment effectively.
