As the Accountant you will resolve day-to-day financial and administrative problems relating to the Accounting Department, ensuring they're in compliance with all Real Estate Commission requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and control financial reporting, accounting system, accounting closing process, journal entries, reconciliation, analysis of GL accounts, variance analysis, audit, budget, cash management, bank relationship, industry requirements.
  • Resolve day-to-day financial and administrative problems relating to the Accounting Department.
  • Ensure Accounting Department is in compliance with all Real Estate Commission requirements.
  • Supervise the accounting department and collections staff including hiring, termination, production, scheduling, evaluation, education, development, and motivation.
  • Supervise the material produced by the accounting department including forms, educational and informational.
  • Supervise the storage and destruction of property management records in accordance with Real Estate Commission requirements.
  • Maintain property insurance files, business licenses, pool and spa licenses and assumed business names.
  • Administrator of central office computer equipment, software, upgrades, passwords, and backup rotation with the assistance of the network administrator vendor.
  • Work with network administrator vendor on software, hardware challenges and equipment rotation.
  • Maintain the accounting program with the most current vendor update.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Corporate Office to include but not limited to approval of purchases for the office, kitchen, restrooms, and cleaning/sanitizing supplies.
  • Other respective responsibilities are included.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
  • 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience
  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience
  • Real Estate Broker's license is preferred
  • Proficient with Yardi software
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365
  • Entrata experience preferred
  • Current Driver's License with clean driving record
  • Subject matter expert on all city, county, state and federal Landlord, Tenant and Fair Housing laws.

Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00AM - 5:00PM) + Hybrid Opportunity!

Compensation: $56,000 - $66,50000 Annually
