Job Description
We are searching for a reliable and highly organized chemical technician to join our excellent team. The chemical technician’s responsibilities include analyzing substances to determine their chemical composition, setting up lab equipment and monitoring experiments, compiling technical reports, and interpreting results. You should also be able to follow instructions and collaborate with others. To be successful as a chemical technician, you should be passionate about research, development, and science. Outstanding candidates have an in-depth knowledge of chemistry and superb observational and analytical skills.
Candidate qualifications include, but are not limited to, experience in bench and/or analytical chemistry,
familiarity with water treatment plant operations, and some mechanical aptitude.
Work is in an industrial setting which is subject to hot and cold temps, bending, lifting, and standing, and requires PPE. Safety protocol and safe work plans are critical to work processes.
• BS degree in Chemistry or other field of science with a MINIMUM of 12 semester hours in Chemistry required.
• Prior experience and knowledge of boiler/water analysis preferred.
• Previous work experience in a water treatment plant is preferred.
• Experience and competency in the use, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation/equipment; knowledge of proper analytical methods and techniques.
• Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Familiarity with mechanical parts and repair is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in the production of deionized water is preferred.
The driving required for this position is on-site.
