Job Description:

The Revenue Accounting Processor compiles and calculates transportation rates and charges for additional services according to tariff regulations and contract rates. Performs a variety of activities to ensure invoices and documents are accurate, discrepancies are resolved and are submitted timely and according to company policy.

Tasks:
The Revenue Accounting Processor, as part of the Revenue Accounting Department, will perform and assist with the following tasks:
• Reviewing transportation documents to determine services provided
• Determining correct billing tariff based on services performed
• Calculating revenue for moving services based on appropriate tariffs
• Entering revenue into Mover's Suite (Move Management and Revenue Accounting Software)
• Verifying accuracy of billing data and revising any errors
• Producing and sending invoices to customers
• Auditing figures, postings, and documents for correct entry and proper codes
• Scanning/uploading supporting documents to Van Lines and customers for payment
• Reconciling revenue entered for Accounts Receivable
• Submitting and tracking revenue/payment adjustment requests to Van Lines and other companies
• Assisting with revenue and invoicing questions
• Creating and updating formulas in excel spreadsheets when needed
• Creating and processing departmental reports through the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
• Complying with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
• Other accounting/administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:
• Computer literacy is a must.
• Excellent knowledge of Excel is essential as well as proficiency in the other Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Knowledge of Great Plains Accounting Software is a plus.
• Knowledge of transportation industry is a plus.
• Must be able to learn new software programs quickly.
• Must be detailed oriented.
• Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines.
• A high level of organization and willingness to learn, as well as a team player attitude.
• Skills to communicate directly with customers, co-workers, managers, drivers, and sales personnel.

Requirements:

• Graduated from an accredited high school or completed high school equivalency certificate.
• Knowledge of transportation industry is a plus.
• Two years of accounting/billing work experience.
• Must have dependable transportation.
• Must pass criminal background check to company standards.
• As a Florida Drug-Free Workplace, must pass pre-employment and random urinalysis drug testing.
