JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assembler is responsible for reading blueprints and assembling heavy equipment and parts according to an instruction manual. Responsibilities and job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for light fabrication (cut, drill, grind, etc.)
- Assembly and installation of assigned parts, pieces, subassemblies and assemblies on both the interior and exterior of the vehicle
- Coordinate with manager and welders to troubleshoot problems
- Perform painting task on a small scale
- Set up assembly job by locating parts and gathering materials by work orders
- Inspect final products for quality and ensure they meet the required standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure equipment is in a clean and orderly condition
- Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with safety guidelines
EXPERIENCE
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and be mechanically sound
- Previous experience in assembly or a related field is strongly preferred
- Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments
- Previous experience in welding or electrician work is desired
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Attention to detail
- Experience with or knowledge of manufacturing practices
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- Experience reading blueprints and follow work instructions
- Ability to lift and/or move heavy objects/components, frequently 25 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs
- This position requires continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, walking, stooping and handling materials
