Mechanical Assembler

Location: San Diego, CA 92121

Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM–11:30 PM

Pay Rate: $20.10/hour

Schedule: 40 hours/week | 100% Onsite


Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to perform a variety of assembly operations involving mechanical components, sub-assemblies, sheet metal enclosures, drawers, chassis, and racks. The ideal candidate will be comfortable reading assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics and have hands-on experience with soldering, wire harnessing, cabling, and electronic/mechanical assembly. This position requires good judgment, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while following established procedures and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies, sheet metal enclosures, drawers, chassis, and racks.
  • Read and work from assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Perform hand soldering, wire-wrapping, wire harnessing, and cable assembly.
  • Perform routine go/no-go testing of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Set up test devices using hand tools or automated test methods.
  • Document test results and maintain logs of malfunctions or repairs.
  • Perform repair and rework activities as needed.
  • Use a variety of hand tools and testing equipment.
  • Follow established methods and sequences of operation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
