Quality Control Supervisor

Pavestone LLC, manufacturer for segmental concrete products for the commercial, residential, contractor, industrial and retail customers is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor for its Hagerstown, MD facility.

Responsibilities:

• Performs all quality control tests are required by the Pavestone Quality Program (PQP).
• Trains personnel to perform proper sampling, raw material testing, and finished product testing.
• Trains personnel for appropriate action when specifications are not being met.
• Supervise quality control activities by other staff members.
• Maintains testing equipment in proper working order.
• Ensures that all quality requirements are fulfilled with the frequency as specified by the PQP.
• Ensures that all logs and files related to the quality are legible, well organized, and properly maintained.
• Evaluates quality data, regarding raw materials, work in progress and finished products.
• Creates reports with short and long term trends for local and corporate Management.
• Performs root cause analysis and takes corrective actions.
• Ensures that any non-conforming product is properly identified for a decision on disposition by the Plant/General Manager.
• Ensures that samples are retained and sent to the Pavestone Laboratory as scheduled or as requested.

Qualifications:

• A four year college degree in science or engineering (other education or experience can be considered)
• Must have good oral and written communication skills.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Must be able to wear safety glasses, respirator, rubber gloves, and hearing protection in required situations.
• Must be able to work at elevation and in partially confined situations.
• Must be able to lift product, materials and equipment as necessary to perform the job.
