Summary/Objective
Responsible for accurate set up parts to meet customer's print and quality standards.
Keep down time to a minimum.
Maintain Quality and Production Levels.
Smooth and timely flow of jobs in the shop
Duties and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for Set Up CNC Machines. This person is responsible for keeping the Shop Foreman, CNC Supervisor and Production Manager informed at all times. He/she may also have to coordinate with Engineering, Quality and Purchasing Department.
Review of travelers, drawings, material, program, and tool list prior to start the job.
Request tools that are needed to run the job.
In coordination with Shop Foreman & CNC Supervisor, provide feedback to Programming Department to improve productivity and efficiency.
Alert Shop Foreman and/or Production Manager to any problems.
Set up jobs, inspect pc and provide assistant to CNC Operators.
Run jobs per Shop Foreman/ CNC Supervisor instructions.
Provide ECR when it is needed for Shop Foreman approval.
Perform routine maintenance of the machine.
Report immediately any issues with pcs and/or the machine.
Keep tools properly calibrated.
Report any and all injuries as soon as they happen.
Report accurate set up time and run time per each job.
Trouble-shoot shop problems.
Responsible for training
