The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating a ceramic Tile Saw and Grinder to the provide blueprint or drawing specifications and dimensions holding the tolerances given. This position reports to the area Lead and the area Supervisor for assignments and assistance. Position requires the incumbent to be cross-trained and proficient in all functions located in the tie shop, includes tile saws, grinder, grit blaster, washing station core drilling and hand grinding.
1-responsible for the setup for tile saws, grinders for machining ceramic tiles and or armor panels per specifications and drawings.
2-responsible for identifying parts tiles billets and laying out dimensions to be machined.
3-Label identify and weigh parts, tiles and billets.
4-Assist with daily clean up of the operators area and overall tile shop.
Requirements
- Familiar and experience with machining equipment and blueprint/drawing.
- High school diploma / GED
