Job Description

Salary: Open/DOE

Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) lathe machine with a higher level of experience than a skill set of CNC Lathe Machinist 1-2. Candidate should have minimum of 2 years’ experience working experience in setup and programming of CNC-Lathe and ability to satisfy the following:

Setting tool registers, offsets & compensation
Sets-up CNC lathes by installing, adjusting, and cutting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, and collets.
Verify first-run part for acceptance
Maintains specs by seeing drilling, grooving, and cutting, taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls
Adjust cutting feeds and speeds for greatest performance
Intermediate / advanced knowledge of CNC controls
Blueprint reading including geometric tolerances and surface finishes
Use measuring instruments including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, dial indicators with a high level of confidence
Attention to detail and good judgment
