PET/CT Technologist - Hospital

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Visual acuity sufficient for work with computer terminals, policy and procedure manuals, patient charts and filling syringes.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and /or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or constantly to lift, carry, pull, push or otherwise move objects.
• Works with frequent interruptions.
• Uses oral and written communications with patients, physician and hospital staff.
• Lifts and assist patients on and off the CT table.
• Mobility of hands, fingers, and arms for typing, starting intravenous lines, and assisting patients.
• Requires considerable judgment to work independently toward general results, devising methods, modifications or adapting to standard procedures to meet different conditions and make decisions based on precedent and policy.

Education:

• Two plus years of experience as an Imaging Technologist (Nuclear Medicine, US, CT or DI) and one year of CT experience preferred.

License/Certification:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ARRT within CT preferred. Must renew ARRT registration annually with 24 hours of continuing education bi-annually.
• Licensed in the State with the Board of Medical Imaging& Radiation Therapy.
