Job Title: Order Fulfillment/Warehouse Worker

Location: Estacada, OR

Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Since 1993, the company has consistently improved the safety and quality of veterinary medical equipment and has recently expanded its manufacturing capabilities with a new leading-edge facility.

Job Overview: The Warehouse Worker will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. This role is vital to our operations, as it ensures our products reach our customers accurately and on time.

Essential Functions

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments of products and supplies.
  • Accurately check and verify the contents of received packages against packing lists or invoices.
  • Receive, organize and store products in designated warehouse locations.
  • Run errands both in and outside of the facility.
  • Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently based on order sheets or invoices.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and responsibly.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and report any discrepancies.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety regulations.
  • Assist in periodic warehouse audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Oregon state driver's license
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Veterinary industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  1. Lifting and Carrying:

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, which can vary in weight depending on the warehouse and position.

Strength to handle items that may weigh 50 pounds or more.

Proper lifting techniques to prevent back injuries.

  1. Pushing and Pulling:

Capability to push or pull loaded carts, pallet jacks, or trolleys.

Stamina to maneuver heavy loads over distances.

  1. Standing and Walking:

Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.

Navigating through the warehouse's often large and expansive layout.

  1. Bending and Stooping:

Flexibility to bend, stoop, and reach low or high shelves and storage areas.

Ability to access items stored in different positions.

  1. Climbing:

Climbing ladders or using elevated equipment to access high storage areas.

Balance and coordination while working at heights.

  1. Repetitive Motion:

Performing repetitive tasks such as lifting, sorting, or packing.

Sustaining repetitive motions for extended periods.

  1. Grip Strength:

Strong grip to handle various types of materials and packaging.

Handling tools and equipment effectively.

  1. Dexterity:

Precise hand-eye coordination for tasks like picking and packing small items.

Handling delicate or fragile items with care.

  1. Physical Stamina:

Maintaining physical endurance to keep up with the demands of the job.

Working long shifts or overtime during peak periods.

  1. Temperature Tolerance:

Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, which can range from cold storage areas to hot warehouses.

  1. Safety Awareness:

Agility to quickly respond to safety hazards and emergency situations.

Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

  1. Teamwork:

Collaborative skills to work effectively with colleagues, especially in tasks that require coordination and cooperation.
