Hours & Pay: Full-Time salaried. $125,000 - $160,000 Total Cash Compensation. Includes personal performance bonus and monthly bonus for all billable hours.
Location: Indianapolis, IN area or U.S. Remote (Eastern Time working hours)
Position Summary
The Salesforce Solution Architect is a key, client-facing role who identifies pain points and creates solutions to optimize client business processes. This position entails advising and crafting scalable solutions for 2-3 projects at a time, targeting SMBs in sectors like SaaS, Field Service, and nonprofits. You will provide comprehensive, integrated solutions from marketing to finance, including MCAE/Pardot, Sales/Service Cloud, Field Service, Experience Cloud and ERP systems. Your typical week includes leading client check-ins and internal team meetings, with a balance of project management, solution architecture, and system configuration tasks. Our projects involve a deeply engaged, hands-on approach with small teams dedicated to delivering sustained, long-term value to SMBs that engage us for multiple years.This role is exclusively focused on delivery and does not involve sales proposals or contract modifications. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Client Consulting: Establish yourself as a key advisor, guiding clients through the exploration and adoption of suitable Salesforce solutions by leading in-depth discovery sessions to map their current and desired operational states
System Architecture: Ensure optimal system functionality through balanced design considerations, including performance, security, and data management. Solve integration challenges and manage secure access between systems.
Project Execution: Spearhead the agile deployment of Salesforce customizations, coordinating with developers and administrators to ensure timely completion. Personally build declarative solutions and tackle the hardest problems. Document and clarify project requirements, including estimates, to enhance team transferability.
Technology Leadership: Stay updated on technological advances and Salesforce product updates to make informed recommendations. Lead the assessment and introduction of new software solutions, ensuring the best fit for client needs and strategic goals.
Professional Development and Mentorship: Actively contribute to team development, sharing knowledge, and mentoring colleagues to foster a collaborative and innovative working environment.
Outcomes/Measures of Success over the next 12 months
- Create solutions to complex business problems that are scalable and easily transferable to the client
- Establish and meet clients’ budget and timeline goals
- Maintain and increase high customer satisfaction score (CSAT)
- Create and maintain business documentation and flowcharts in a strategy guide
- Maintain open communication with internal teams and keep projects up to date
- Adhere to a weekly continuous delivery cycle and organize work properly
Competencies Desired
- Previous consulting experience leading projects is mandatory
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Understand business process and enterprise database design and create ERDs, swimlanes, and network diagrams to detail proposed solutions
- Comfortable being on camera for client and team virtual meetings
- Comfortable debugging code and working with developers
- Experience with Finance integrations (NetSuite, Quickbooks Online) and ETL options including Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Power Automate, Logic Apps
- Ability to configure Sales Cloud and Pardot
- Confidently build advanced solutions with Flow including the use of invocables and platform events, knowing when to use Flow vs. code
- Experience doing org migrations and large-scale data loads with tools such as SFDMU, SF CLI, Python, or Azure SQL
Experience & Certifications
- 5+ years Salesforce configuration experience
- 3+ years experience leading technical implementations
- Required Certifications: Sales or Service Cloud Consultant
- Preferred Certifications: Field Service Lightning, Experience Cloud, Application Architect, Solution Architect, Marketing Cloud Account Engagement
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but great experience is more important
