Motion Designer

The Motion Designer is a creatively driven individual with an amazing eye for design and animation who will work with agency partners and clients to create outstanding content for some of the world's biggest global brands. The Motion Designer is involved in the ideation, design, animation and finishing phases of production of moving content. The ideal candidate possesses an elevated taste level with a strong design aesthetic and loves what they do, maintaining the highest standards of creative execution. This person will partner with the Creative Director of Motion Design in North America, to help  ideate, manage and animate jobs within Motion Design at The Pub  across our LA-NY-CHI studios and their range of jobs.

Day to Day:
● Concept and design style frames, animation, or other visual elements from idea to delivery
● Strong storytelling skills: make complicated graphic concepts accessible and engaging
● Ability to animate and produce motion graphics utilizing quality multimedia storytelling that encompasses film, photography, and design
● Work closely with artists, producers, creative directors to ensure the clients’ requirements are met
● Assemble treatments and story boards that clearly outline creative ideas for client
● Come up with creative solutions and ideas and guide clients through the Motion Design creative process.
● Lead jobs from concept to delivery, overseeing all elements.
● Work closely with Producers to maintain in-depth understanding of a project's status while taking responsibility and ownership of the workload, time management, as well as notes/feedback required by Supervisors & Producers.
● Developing strong relationships with agency partners (in particular, agency Producers and Creatives).
● Manage and mentor more junior designers, and animators so they are placed in the best position to succeed at their daily tasks.

Requirements:
● 3+ years of industry experience
● Strong portfolio which demonstrates your understanding of both design and animation
● Advanced knowledge of After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and Cinema 4D (Experience with Houdini, X-particles and RedShift is a plus)
● Excellent taste level and understanding of current design trends, aesthetics and techniques.
● Motivated creative approach to problem solving
● Excellent communication skills
● Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
● experience with high-end advertising and client expectations.
● Proactive in problem solving - remote workspace, new techniques/programs/

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in design, animation, motion design or similar.
