Building Maintenance Technician

Principle Auto is hiring a proactive Facilities Technician for our growing facilities team! The Facilities Technician will be charged with facility upkeep including light plumbing, electrical, and minor construction projects. The Maintenance and Facilities team is tasked with keeping the company’s equipment, dealerships and office spaces in top condition. The Maintenance Technician must be able to manage their time, be a self-starter and have a strong attention to detail.

How This Role Makes an Impact:
The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for managing maintenance ticket requests in the order of importance and age of the request. The Building Maintenance Technician will carry this out day-to-day by working with the team to ensure that all building/facility equipment is properly inspected and scheduled planned repairs with the least impact to day to day operations as possible. The team is also responsible for ongoing maintenance schedule and repair for areas including HVAC, building lighting systems, minor electrical, and ballasts.
Responsibilities of the Building Maintenance Technician:
- Manage multiple requests at once including issues related to minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC repair
- Conduct ongoing inspections to ensure that the facilities remain in compliance of all governmental regulations and organizational goals of excellence
- Perform routine maintenance according the facility schedule as needed to take a proactive approach to maintenance that is required
- Respond to all maintenance request tickets in a timely manner and work with the maintenance team to schedule response times and daily schedule of planned work.
- Maintain equipment maintenance procedures
- Comply with all safety and proper use of chemicals supplies
- Monitor/ensure adherence to all equipment and maintenance schedules
- Complete all required written reports in a timely fashion
- Occasionally will be required to arrange and oversee third-party contractor support as necessary
- Must be able to work Saturdays
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
- Working knowledge of excel, word and Microsoft office products
- Demonstrated management skills
Qualifications of the Building Maintenance Technician:
- HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical Certifications PREFERRED
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High School Diploma Required
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record check
