CNC Operator

Prescott Industries has an opening for a CNC Operator to join our team of talented people at our growing manufacturing business. The CNC Operator will operate computerized equipment to form wood components and parts to facilitate the construction of wood doors and windows made to order specifications.
Prescott Industries is a small business in Aubrey, TX. We are professional, agile and our goal is to be a leader in the wood door and frame industry. We manufacture architectural wood and laminate doors, artisan hardwood doors for residential application, as well as wood door frames and components. These are used for a variety of industries including offices, hotels/resorts, educational facilities, healthcare/hospitals, institutional/ buildings, and residential homes. Prescott Industries has over 55 years of innovation and experience in the door industry. You have likely stayed in a hotel, attended a school, lived in a home, worked in an office, or attended a physician appointment in which we have designed and constructed doors. - Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.
- Run tests before start of operations.
- Monitor machines when assembling products.
- Inspect and measure finished product.
- Inspect machinery at end of shift to identify parts needing repair.
- Perform daily maintenance on machinery as needed.
- Maintain quality and safety standards.
- Keep the work area organized and clean.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years CNC Operator experience preferred.
Your Skills and Abilities
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Strong math and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate highly technical machinery and hand tools.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, specification sheets, templates, and technical procedures.
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of the use of the English and metric measuring system and measuring tools.
- Able to work a flexible schedule including overtime, up to 10-hour shifts as needed.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Our Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking on concrete.
- Pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and frequent lifting of heavy objects.
- Must be able to move and lift up to 100 pounds unassisted, 150 lbs with assistance, push weights up to 500lbs with a team.
Location: May be based out of Aubrey or Denton.
