Position Overview:
The Accountant in La Jolla is a member of the corporate accounting team and supports the general day-to-day accounting for the company, with a focus on StepStone Group Real Assets' accounting, a subsidiary of StepStone Group LP and international subsidiaries.
Responsibilities:
• Complete monthly account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance within SOX environment
• Manage and reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, deposits, and lease schedules, among other areas.
• Reconcile intercompany account balances
• Assist with multi-currency treasury activities, including but not limited to:
- Prepare wires and ACH batches
- Monitor and reconcile cash balances
• Prepare and enter month-end journal entries
• Process, record, and review vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements
• Assist with continuous process improvements
• Perform other duties as requested or as responsibilities dictate
Basic Qualifications
• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with minimum of two years of professional accounting experience
• Large ERP Experience, NetSuite preferred
• Prior experience working with multiple entities, global offices, and foreign currencies preferred
• CPA a plus
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• High attention to detail
• Self-starter that takes initiative to complete and improve work product
• Proficient in Excel
• Basic financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis skills
• Basic skills in PowerPoint
• Able to communicate succinctly to a target audience
• Intellectual curiosity
• Able to develop business relationships with key partners across the firm
Salary Range - $65,000 - $75,000
The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience. The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
