Job Description
Salary:

MECA Therapies is looking for an Assistant Regional Director (ARD) /Early Childhood Lead Coordinator (ECLC)

 


Position Description:  ECLC responsibilities include assisting the Regional Director in providing outreach and training services to community agencies; monitoring marketing and outreach efforts to referral sources; ensuring quality assurance indicators required by ECECD are met. 

                                    The ARD is responsible for working closely with the Regional Director to ensure compliance to company policy, processes, timelines, program goals, and directives for all regional programs.  Provide support, training, and development to all staff working in MECA Programs to encourage consistently following and implementing company and program(s) policy, procedures, and processes.  Monitoring and assigning all caseloads weekly and monitoring productivity on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.

Education and Licensure:    A bachelor’s degree in social work; counseling; psychology, special education; early childhood education or closely related field. Individuals with a bachelor’s degree in another field can substitute two (2) years of direct experience in serving individuals with disabilities and/or families or relevant work experience in a related field that allows for at minimum an exemption for DS II certification, or a current employee who is participating in a MECA Therapies Leadership Development Program.

General Requirements:     

  • Certificate of Developmental Instruction through the NM FIT program
  • Completion of Individualized Professional Development Plan (IPDP)
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Windows
  • Proficient organizational and record keeping skills
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills
  • Ability to train staff
  • Exercise a high level of confidentially
  • Attend IFSP’s and transition meetings as required

 


EARLY CHILDHOOD LEAD COORDINATOR (ECLC): Primary Role:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The ECLC will operate within Local, State and Federal Regulations as well as adhere to all MECA policies and procedures. Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Scheduling and providing one-on-one coaching with FIT staff.
  2. Training new and ongoing FIT staff in the coaching process
  3. Attending all Leadership trainings and meetings
  4. Attending NM FIT Program trainings and provide in-house training to MECA staff on the information
  5. Participating in outreach and marketing (health fairs, outreach events, ASQ screening, and hearing screenings, etc.) as assigned by Regional Director
  6. Assisting with community trainings as needed
  7. Participating in Early Childhood Transition Teams
  8. Participating in other community collaboration meetings as needed
  9. Other duties as assigned

 

CASELOAD ASSIGNMENTS

The ECLC will assist with caseload maintenance by:

  1. Temporarily assuming FSC and DS duties within counties served when short-staffed
  2. Assisting Intake Coordinators when there is an increase in referrals.
  3. Supporting Lead FSC in carrying open caseloads until an appropriate staff can be hired.

 

PRODUCTIVITY

The ECLC, in collaboration with the Regional Director, will support staff in maintaining program(s) productivity expectations by:

  1. Maintaining 90% productivity for assumed DS caseloads
  2. Maintaining 100% accuracy for assumed FSC caseloads

 

DOCUMENTATION

The ECLC will accurately collect data for the EC programs utilizing the FITKIDS system, ZOHO, and MAPS and will ensure that the information is accurate and filed in a timely manner by:

  1. Completing leadership data tracking sheets and reporting information to Assistant Regional Director
  2. Coordinating with Assistant Regional Director, and meeting with staff who have continuous errors in reports.
  3. Ensuring information is accurate and complete in FITKIDS and ZOHO


STAFF DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING

The ECLC will provide the necessary support, training, and guidance to support MECA’s EC program. The ECLC must also comply with all mandatory trainings identified by certification guidelines as well as trainings mandated by their respective supervisor(s) and/or company by:

  1. Training new Lead FSC initially 
  2. Provide mentorship to Lead FSC ongoing.
  3. Orienting new therapy staff initially
  4.  Providing guidance ongoing to all staff
  5. Attending and participating in weekly leadership team meetings within region
  6. Attending, consulting and providing in-house trainings and meetings
  7. Maintaining appropriate DS certification through the NM FIT Program
  8. Assisting Developmental Specialists with re-certification requirements and submission
  9. Completing Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) training to support child find and screening events.
  10. Completing IDA Training and certification to participate in the (IDA) evaluations
  11. Completing evaluations to support processing new referrals and evaluations to re-determine eligibility as assigned by the Regional Director

 

SUPERVISION

The ECLC will ensure that all staff working in the Early Childhood Program are provided with the adequate supervision to support service delivery by:

  1. Scheduling monthly reflective supervision with their Regional Director
  2. Scheduling and conducting monthly group Developmental Specialist reflective supervision.
  3. Assisting Regional Director with providing guidance and mentoring to all EC staff
  4. Assisting and providing feedback to Regional Director for periodic and annual staff reviews


QUALITY ASSURANCE

The ECLC will ensure that the EC program will maintain quality services for the person served by:

  1. Reviewing audits for files in the initial process for accuracy of data and file content (Intake, Eval, Evaluation Report)
  2. Auditing annual IDA Protocols to verify scoring and eligibility
  3. Functioning as an IDA Lead
  4. Participating in the preparation for and process of the Community Based Audits (CBA)
  5. Providing and supporting the Lead FSC with quality measures as needed


ASSISTANT REGIONAL DIRECTOR (ARD): Secondary Role


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The ARD will support the Regional Director in ensuring that the prime directives are implemented and evaluated across all programs/services within Region. The ARD will also support the Regional Director to ensure that the program/regional staff are operating within Local, State and Federal regulations as well as adhering to all operational policies and procedures by:

  1. Implementing procedures for all regional programs
  2. Assisting Regional Director in training all staff on policies and procedures and program processes for all regional programs
  3. Conducting weekly meetings as needed to disseminate information and discuss issues related to regional programs
  4. Tracking and summarizing regional programs information weekly and quarterly
  5. Ensuring that programs are meeting standards and performance measures for programs within region
  6. Consulting with staff regarding program and performance concerns aligned with policy and procedures.
  7. Receiving and disseminating updates/notices to all staff regarding regional programs through a variety of methods: email, direct communication, memos, newsletters, etc.
  8. Administering disciplinary action as needed in collaboration with Regional Director
  9. Ensuring all staff have adequate supervision and support in the absence of the Regional Director
  10. Assisting in the development and completion of request for proposals, grants, and contract negotiations for MECA Programs as needed
  11. Attending meetings on behalf of the Regional Director as assigned (community, committees, programmatic meetings, etc.)
  12. Facilitating meetings on behalf of Regional Director as assigned (Intake, FSC, Staff, In-house trainings, etc.)
  13. Supporting Regional Director in property maintenance and building safety
  14. Acting on behalf of the Regional Director in their extended absence (in this event, the Assistant Program Director will report to the Chief Operations Officer)
  15. Reviewing and approving payroll for submission to corporate office as assigned
  16. Ensuring regional program compliance related to caseload and staff productivity expectations are met
  17. Participating in interviews for prospective employees
  18. Participating in the review and summary of all regional program satisfaction surveys
  1. Holding employees to expected hours alongside the Regional Director
  2. Being present during office hours (8:00-5:00) unless otherwise expected or approved
  3. Meeting programmatic timelines
  4. Completing monthly fire extinguisher inspection and scheduling annual fire inspections
