CNC Programmer

CNC Programmer
Looking for a CNC Programmer to create and modify computer programs by converting project requirements into code for CNC machines. We are looking for someone who has excellent functional and technical skills, and knowledge of controls, instrumentation, and tooling. If you have experience with NX (preferred) 5-axis programming and using Vericut verification software, we are interested in meeting you.

Duties:

• Responsible for determining the most efficient method of machining using efficient tool paths, techniques and tooling.
• Responsible for writing clear and thorough setup instructions on tool lists and setup sketches.
• Verify all programs written using Vericut to review for completeness and obvious errors (wrong geometry, tool crashes, etc).
• Utilize defined standard tooling packages as much as possible on specified machining cells.
• Effectively communicate with up and downstream internal customers on any manufacturing or producibility issues that arise or are foreseen.
• Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS-9100, for example).
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with 5S standards.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related duties as needed.
• Accomplish strategic departmental and organizational goals by completing related duties as needed.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience programming with NX.
• 3+ years experience 5-axis programming.
• 3+ years experience using Vericut verification software or equivalent.
• Able to read/interpret engineering drawings and work instruction.
• Able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner and relate in a positive fashion towards individuals throughout the company and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to deal with interruptions while completing work with deadlines.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Consistent and dependable attendance.
