Entry Level Content Writer

This position is in office and sits at the front desk. 

The Content Writer role will focus on creating SEO content to generate organic Google traffic, email marketing content, and social media content to generate marketing leads and applications for the sales team. This role also requires fielding and routing calls related to various marketing campaigns.

As a marketing team contributor, this person must perform a variety of tasks effectively, develop collaborative relationships with team members, use clear communication, and participate heavily in the execution of marketing initiates. 

The Content Writer must have professional writing and verbal communication skills and be able to provide a polished and positive approach when working to generate marketing leads from inbound calls, responding to live chats, and communicating with the sales team working to assign marketing leads.

The ideal candidate will have a creative mindset with extreme attention to detail, 1 to 3+ years of experience in the written content creation space, and an understanding of various online marketing platforms.

Candidates will be asked to present their portfolios showing written content achievements and experience. In addition, the candidate should be comfortable working in an exciting, fast-paced, and results-driven, environment.

Responsibilities

• Writing content to improve SEO performance
• Helping marketing leaders plan and implement content marketing campaigns
• Researching and identifying relevant keywords for web content
• Writing content for a variety of platforms including social media, website, and email
• Setting goals for clickthrough rates, traffic, and conversion on web pages
• Monitoring and analyzing search engine performance of web pages
• Tracking trends with keywords, SEO strategy, and major search engines
• Collaborate with graphic design creators
• Handles inbound marketing calls for lead generation
• Performs marketing lead & application assignment
• Participates in creative briefing, testing, and brainstorming
• Executes daily/weekly/monthly creative requests

Required Skills

• 1-3 years' high-level content writing experience is preferred.
• Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Microsoft Office Skills – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
• Experience using SEO tools such as SEMrush & Google Analytics
• WordPress
• Social Media Marketing
