Location: New Jersey

Salary: $31-$33/hr

Primary Purpose:

As an Outreach Professional, you'll spearhead outreach and education efforts to promote energy efficiency programs among various stakeholders, including end customers, contractors, manufacturers, distributors, engineers, and architects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and foster relationships with contractors, engineering firms, consultants, and distributors to maximize project submissions.
  • Develop projects directly with customers and keep stakeholders informed on project progress.
  • Represent us at industry events and oversee project submissions.
  • Collaborate with Project Coordinators to gather project documentation and ensure smooth project completion.
  • Make outbound calls to meet energy-saving targets and provide assistance to customers.
  • Deliver engaging program presentations and provide energy efficiency advice to customers.
  • Identify on-site energy efficiency opportunities and provide follow-up support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in energy efficiency or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel locally up to 30% of the time and possess a valid driver’s license.

Preferred (but not required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or equivalent.
  • Certified Energy Auditor (Commercial) designation.
  • Experience in commercial or industrial energy efficiency, technical sales, or construction industry sales.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel locally up to 30% of the time.
  • Perform physical activities during site visits, including standing, walking, climbing, and lifting.
