Job description

The Outreach Representative will play a key role in fostering relationships and building connections with the community. This position is ideal for someone passionate about community engagement and eager to support outreach initiatives through effective communication and collaboration. The Outreach Representative reports to the Outreach Manager and may occasionally travel to participate in outreach events. We are a local nonprofit aimed to help Veterans with essential resources and get into stable housing. The ideal candidate would love to talk to people all the time and like speaking to strangers.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with community to promote community programs and initiatives
  • Go to local businesses and community events to engage with the community to tell them about our cause
  • Talk to over 100 people a day
  • Stand for over 6 hours
  • Work outside and inside
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with partners and donors
  • attending outreach events, including occasional travel
  • Gather feedback and insights from community interactions to inform outreach strategies
  • Coordinate with the Outreach Manager to align engagement efforts with organizational goals
