Work Location: Onsite Rochester, IN –with possible opportunity to work 1 day from home.

Job Description

Summary/objective

A Corporate Attorney consults and handles various corporate legal processes such as intellectual property, environmental regulations, mergers and acquisitions, financial/securities offerings, compliance issues, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, and patents. They develop company policies, research, and guard against legal risks, ensure compliance with rules and regulations, and represent the company in legal proceedings. They also draft and review legal documents, negotiate deals, and administer contracts. Ultimately their role is to protect the company’s legal interests and provide guidance on all legal issues, rights, and duties.

  • In-house counsel
  • Verify legal compliance
  • Provide legal guidance
  • Review legal documents
  • Consult and handle legal processes
  • Develop company policies and position on legal issues
  • Safeguard against legal risks
  • Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings
  • Draft contracts
  • Review and maintain Umbrella Insurance to cover all risks to the business
  • Assure that all environmental requirements and permits are accurate and up to date

Experience and Skills

  • Proven background in corporate law
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Analytical ability and strong attention to detail

Travel

  • Travel to our various Indiana yards as needed (minimal)

Education and Experience

  • Current License to practice law
  • BS degree in Law
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
