Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, configure, and manage Confluent Kafka clusters in a cloud environment.
- Develop and implement efficient and scalable solutions using Confluent Kafka, Java, and Spring Boot technologies.
- Collaborate with development teams to define Kafka data ingestion and streaming requirements.
- Provide expertise in integration architecture and best practices, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
- Provide guidance on optimal Kafka configurations and usage patterns.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the retail industry domain.
- Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring smooth data flow and system interoperability.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in the Confluent Kafka ecosystem and integration domain.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka and Java.
- Proficiency in Java development, including frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Experience with clustering and high availability configurations.
- Direct experience developing web services, REST APIs, microservices with .Net, Azure, and Ocelot.
- Experience with Snowflake integrations and RDBMS systems like Oracle.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills:
- Development experience in Kafka connectors, including KSQL, Topic Authorization, and Confluent Tools.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience.
- 5+ years’ strong hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka and Java.
- 5+ years’ experience with clustering and high availability configurations.
