A little about the job....

• Receives all food supplies and equipment; checks quality, weight, and specifications to insure compliance with purchase orders. Transports supplies to storage area.
• Ensures all foods, paper, and chemicals are stored and labeled as needed, according to established policies and procedures and per regulatory agencies.
• Organizes and maintains storeroom, coolers, etc.
• Assists with routine food and supplies orders.
• In conjunction with the Food Service Coordinator, checks for the appropriate cleaning of the dept.
• Completes cleaning schedules and checks for compliance.
• Completes Quality Assurance checks on a weekly basis.
• Ensures compliance with Regulatory Agencies related to sanitation issues.

Qualifications for the job...

• High school diploma or equivalent with ability to read and write clearly, ability to prepare and interpret detailed written and oral materials and perform complex arithmetical computations.
• Ability to use scales, computer, and calculator required.
• Minimum one year food service experience required.
• Minimum two years previous experience in sanitation duties preferred and experience in kitchen routine desired.
• Ability to lead and train workers.
• Good communication and Leadership skills desired.
