What you will do:
Use your advanced clinical skills to provide the highest level of care
Complete lab work as required
Take radiographs and demonstrate radiology safety by example
Perform intravenous catheter placement and collect samples for diagnostics
Use correct veterinary terminology to complete medical records and handover cases
Perform medical calculations and help train others
Give injections (IV, IM, SQ), induce and monitor anesthesia, perform intubation
Perform dental prophylaxis, including dental extractions
Fill prescriptions for patients and have an understanding of veterinary pharmacology
Communicate with and educate clients/pet owners
Assist team as needed in tasks such as ordering supplies, inventory, etc.
Collaborate with veterinary team to provide the best care to patients
Grow, learn, teach, and succeed in a happy work environment
The Right Fit
You must be a credentialed veterinary technician with an active state license
3+ years of professional experience in a small animal clinical setting
Proficient in medical math calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, conversions, etc.)
Enthusiastic team player with a patient and positive professional attitude
Must be detail-oriented due to the high level of quality medicine
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
Excellent communication skills
