WOOD FLOOR REFINISHING HELPER
MADISON, WI
We are looking for a trustworthy and capable Wood Floor Refinishing Helper to join our company.
The Wood Floor Refinishing Helper will be required to adhere to our protocols while observing standard safety guidelines.
The primary function of the Wood Floor Refinishing Helper is to help the Wood Floor Installer to complete a quality installation that promotes customer satisfaction and excellence.

Duties:
- Drive to various job sites
- Help carry tools and equipment to job site
- Select and use proper tools and equipment
- Help move furniture; move doors
- Help set up equipment
- Help prepare floor for installation
- Help remove shoe base, quarter-round and baseboards
- Help vacuum and sweep floors
- Help inspect the floor looking for damaged boards, nail heads or staples
- Help set nail heads and repair boards as necessary
- Follow sanding guidelines and procedures as appropriate
- Help apply sealers, stains and finishes as appropriate
- Help job site clean up as required
- Disposal of waste materials
- Help reinstall shoe base, quarter round and baseboards
- Use safety precautions
- Help properly clean and maintain tools and equipment
- Other duties as assigned by Lead Technician
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Demonstrated use of related tools and equipment
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license

Abilities
- Ability to lift 70 lbs. frequently and up to 150 lbs. out of a vehicle daily (sanders, edgers, buffers or 101vacuum equipment); 250lbs for a 2 man job
- Ability to retain bending and/or squatting position consistently (50% of the time)
- Ability to retain position on hands and knees (50% of the time)
