Job Description
We are seeking a Metal Roof Fabricator to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
- Constructing base templates if necessary.
- Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.
- Setting up metalwork, including slitting, rolling, bending, and folding drill presses, cutters, brakes, and shears.
- Double-check design specifications before commencing with cutting and fabricating work.
- Fabricating and constructing metal components.
- Working with Cidan folding and slitting machines
- Grinding, riveting, and finishing completed products.
- Performing quality checks on completed products.
- Conforming with state and company safety regulations.
- Completing job reports.
Metal Fabricator Requirements:
- Previous work experience as a metal fabricator.
- Knowledge of slitter and folding machines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints (a plus)
- Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses.
- Understanding and calculating.shop drawings
- Experience installing metal in the field (a plus)
- Running a forklift (a plus)
- Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects
- Ability to stand for long periods
