Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Gate Attendant to join our team at Bennington Pool Services. As a Gate Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all pool patrons by monitoring access, enforcing pool rules, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Gate Monitoring:
   1. Monitor and control access to the pool area, ensuring that only authorized individuals enter.
   2. Check pool passes, memberships, and verify identification to ensure compliance with admission policies.
   3. Politely deny entry to individuals without proper credentials and communicate rules and requirements as necessary.
2. Customer Service:
   1. Greet patrons with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
   2. Provide information about pool facilities, programs, and events.
   3. Address inquiries and concerns from patrons in a professional and courteous manner.
   4. Assist with lost and found items and direct patrons to appropriate facilities within the pool area.
3. Rule Enforcement:
   1. Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.
   2. Monitor pool activities to ensure compliance with safety guidelines and intervene when necessary.
   3. Report any disturbances, rule violations, or emergencies to the appropriate personnel.
4. Equipment Maintenance:
   1. Ensure that gate equipment, such as card readers or ticket scanners, is in good working order.
   2. Report any malfunctions or issues with equipment to the maintenance team promptly.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Ability to work on weekends and evenings.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
4. Basic knowledge of pool safety regulations and emergency response procedures.
5. Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
