Position Summary: The Financial Analyst will work under limited supervision in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, the Accounting Analyst will actively manage the company's contracts and agreements. The Financial Analyst will maintain all documents, recognize, and anticipate contractual issues, and recommend solutions, support, and handle routine contract agreements and related documentation by established contract policies and procedures. The ideal person for this role should have the ability to communicate effectively and foster relationships with upper management, inside and outside sales staff, and customers.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Financial Analyst manages Buying Group and Customer Agreements and Contracts.
  • Prepares required reporting for each type of agreement or contract.
  • Maintains centralized contract files and monitors compliance with performance obligations under such contracts.
  • Prepares and disseminates information to appropriate employees regarding contract requirements.
  • Works collaboratively with all departments to comply with the requirements of customers and buying groups.
  • Tracks expiration, terminations, renewals, and amendments, and guides best practices.
  • Maintains Balance Sheets and prepares journal entries for accruals related to customer and buying group programs.
  • Prepares payment requests and or issues applicable credit memos to cure all balances due to fulfilling customer and buying group program obligations.
  • Prepares and distributes commission reporting and maintains Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepares other accruals or journal entries as assigned.
  • The Financial Analyst works closely with Management and the Finance team to ensure monthly close deadlines are met and accruals are stated accurately.
  • Other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience in a related field; preferably in wholesale distribution industry.
  • 1 to 3 years of accounting/finance preferred.
  • Some contract experience is preferred.
  • Experience at reading, updating, and interpreting contract language.
  • Excellent data management skills and proofreading ability.
  • Adequate professional experience and knowledge to perform Job Responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work both independently and with others.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines.
  • Accuracy, detail orientation, and analytical skills are needed.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite including very solid knowledge in Excel and Windows-based computer applications.
  • Working knowledge of CRM/ERP systems.
