Halcyon Home is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant to support our growing geriatric home health population. Area includes Dripping Springs, Lakeway, Spicewood, and Marble Falls.


Come join our quickly growing locally owned home health company! We are looking for a dedicated licensed PTA with a heart for the elderly to join our home health team. We offer flexible scheduling, competitive pay and wonderful team support.


You will provide home health visits to our patients in both community and residential settings. A minimum of one year of home health experience is preferred, along with a proven ability to manage a fast-paced, independent work schedule. Knowledge of Kinnser/WellSky software is a plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Home health: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • CPR Certification (Preferred)
  • Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (Required)

Requirements:

Job Summary:

Provides coordinated physical therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.

Participates in the coordination of care.


Job Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapist assistant with an associate level degree in Physical
  • Therapist Assistant.
  • Licensure: Active, state license as a physical therapist assistant, or a multi-state license issued by a Physical Therapy Licensure Compact (PTLC) member state, or if licensure do not apply, meets one of the requirements listed in 42 CFR §484.115(i).
  • Experience: One year of experience as a physical therapist assistant, preferred.
  • Skills: Therapy skills as set forth in the Therapy Practice Act and other regulatory agencies. Good interpersonal skills.
  • Proof of current CPR certification.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance. Current driver’s license.


Environmental and Working Conditions:

Works in a healthcare facility or patients’ homes in various conditions; possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious

diseases; ability to work a flexible schedule; ability to travel locally; some exposure to unpleasant weather.


Physical and Mental Effort:

Ability to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, and standing. Prolonged standing and walking required. Requires working

under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs, and to meet patient and family individualized psychosocial

needs. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.


Essential Functions Evaluation

  • Provides services that are ordered by the physician as indicated in the plan of care, as developed, delegated, and supervised by the physical therapist. Notifies supervisor of changes in patient status or untoward patient responses
  • Completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
  • Administers non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction, heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities to patients. Discontinues any treatment which in their judgement is harmful to the patient.
  • Applies concepts of infection control and standard precautions in performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease.
  • Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients.
  • Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to provide patient and caregiver education.
  • Meets mandatory continuing education requirements.
  • Promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediary and/or other third-party payors, through education, coaching, and other assistance, as necessary.
  • Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency.
  • Participates in the Agency’s QAPI program.
  • Participates in the Agency sponsored in-service training
