Job Description

Champion Controls, Inc. is looking for an experienced Metal Fabricator/Welder. Must have experience with stainless steel, steel, and aluminum sheet metal. Must be proficient with TIG/MIG welding. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) including overtime as required. Monday thru Friday 7:00am-3:30pm.

Summary

We have an immediate opening for a highly-skilled Welder. In this position, you will work on in-house projects. Your daily responsibilities will include reviewing specifications, laying out metal components, cutting, fabricating, and welding. We expect our welders to complete each job within specific deadlines. Our ideal candidate has at least one year of welding experience and a working knowledge of standard welding tools and techniques.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Utilize industry tools and equipment, including TIG/MIG welding machines, hand grinders, bandsaws, drill press, and other power tools

· Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles

· Weld parts in flat, vertical, and/or overhead positions

· Conduct tests to check weld quality

· Maintain proper equipment; repair when needed

Requirements and Qualifications

· High school diploma or trade school certification

· 1+ years of welding experience

· TIG/MIG Welder Certification through the American Welding Society a plus

· Working knowledge of industry tool and equipment

· Able to read blueprints

· Proficient in basic math

· Valid Driver’s license required
