Position Overview

We’re looking for an energetic, reliable and detail-oriented leader to join the marketing department at KSL. We need an organized professional who can lead a team, juggle a variety of tasks, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position will include a wide range of responsibilities, including leading a team of topical producers, writing, producing, directing and editing station promotions.  We’re looking for someone who thrives under pressure and will be a key player on our team in assisting us achieve the measure of success by creating compelling station and news image promos, and podcast trailers.  In addition, will be a key contributor in the conception of marketing campaigns and management across all of the Bonneville Salt Lake owned properties

Note: Work configurations are subject to change based on business needs and at company discretion.

• This position is a hybrid role that requires the employee to sometimes work at our Salt Lake City site. Specific hybrid schedules will be determined based on business needs and evaluated by managers and senior management.

What You Will Do:

Primary job duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Lead team of topical producers

• Write/produce/direct and edit:

  o On-going imaging for KSL TV and KSLSports.com

  o Station enterprise and special project promotion

  o Social media promotion

• Collaborate with marketing team to create compelling imaging for station initiatives and community outreach

• Assist in Bonneville International creative projects

• Manage and take lead in planning and creation of Special Projects promotable story and station initiative promotion.

Skills and Experience We Are Looking For:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in news promotion and video/promo production required

• 3 year experience in managing a team

• Ability to work in a collaborative environment

• Excellent communications skills, including writing and grammar

• Creative thinker

• Attention to detail required

• Ability to track and maintain detailed processes

• High school diploma and minimum 3-5 years’ experience in marketing, media sales or programming (marketing experience strongly preferred)

• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite software, especially Premiere Pro, basic After Effects, Audition and Photoshop.

• Self-starter with the ability to perform job tasks efficiently and effectively with little supervision.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines and deliver on commitments

• Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands

• Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
• Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to operate computer keys and general office equipment. Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
• Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
• Lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds on occasion / frequently.

Compensation

 $60,000 - 75,000. Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
