Rambler Coffee- Lead Barista / Food Preparer

The Rambler Motel is looking to immediately a hire qualified, enthusiastic, part-time Lead Barista & Food Preparer.  We are looking for world-class employees who go the extra mile and create the atmosphere that keeps our guests coming back time and time again. 

Qualifications:

• Experience in retail / specialty store / coffee shop or other food establishment preferred
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Server Permit a Plus
• Experience with Toast POS a Plus
• Well organized and detail oriented
• Register and cash handling experience
• Flexible schedule availability
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance
  

Example of Duties (this is a sampling and not an all-inclusive list):

• Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. 
• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
• Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager.
• Delivers superior customer service to all customers by acting with a “customer comes first” attitude and connecting with the customer.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace
• Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products such as sandwiches and hot food consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Maintains proper safety procedures with staff to avoid work-related injuries or customer injuries
• Assists with customer issues/complaints to resolve them amicably 
• Leads by example in nurturing friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation
• Assists with onboarding new baristas 
• Assists in implementing and coaching the written and hands-on training program to ensure employees are well-versed in their job duties such as drink preparation, proper use of coffee equipment and customer service
• Assists with Monthly Inventory
• Assists with updating POS with new menu items, pricing, or deleting past items. 

• Communicates with Management when stock is running low. Coordinates with vendors and orders supplies if requested by Management 
• Performs other reasonable duties in accordance with Management  

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, talk and listen.

• Frequently required to use hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands/arms

• Regularly required to lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds.

• Vision requirements: Close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust and focus.

• Regularly required to handle food and hot beverages.

Pay rate: $18.00 per hour plus participation in the barista tip pool.
