Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant

Our Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant will receive a competitive sign on bonus!

Location: 4629 Aicholtz Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45244; Hamilton County Centers

Hours: Full time (40 hours)

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field

License Preferred: LSW, LPC, MFT, OCPSA, OCPSS

Required Experience: Experience working with infants, toddlers and young children (0-8) is preferred. Experience providing mental health services is required.

This is an opportunity to provide infant and early childhood mental health services primarily in Hamilton County Head Start—Community Action Agency.

Primary job responsibilities:

  • Provides programmatic, classroom, and individual prevention/consultation to early learning centers, parents, and children as well as completing observations and strengths needs assessments
  • Collaborates with Early Learning Centers for at-risk/challenging behaviors and Safety planning
  • Collaborates with early learning educators to assist students in achieving social/emotional and academic success, as well as relationship-building with school administration.
  • Provides education to parents about infant and early childhood mental health and can link families with mental health resources and treatment services within the community.
  • Completes documentation required in a timely fashion.
