Store Manager
Perform and oversee work in the areas of:
Plan, direct, and coordinate daily operations of the store
Meet sales, gross, and labor goals
Scheduling and payroll
Staff recruitment, orientation, training, and development
Workplace safety
Basic maintenance and repairs
These tasks are important to the company because they promote Chester's mission, customer satisfaction, employee happiness, successful vendor relations, and company profitability.
Although many Essential Functions are performed according to established procedures, independent decisions will have to be made.
The position is 40% administrative and 60% mentoring on the sales floor.
External hires to this position are required to attend 4 weeks of on-site training.
Essential Job Functions
Oversee activities directly relating to customer service and the customer experience
Direct and coordinate activities of departments production, pricing, and sales
Review performance data and assess goal achievement to determine areas needing improvement
Mentor subordinates using hands-on training, performance reviews, and developmental counselings
Manage staff, oversee work schedules, and assign specific duties
Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures
Communicate issues with supervisors as necessary
Determine staffing requirements, interview, hire and oversee training of new employees
Work with department managers in planning and directing promotional activities
Lead the store Safety Committee, oversee all committee duties
Knowledge of store mechanical systems, monitoring and basic maintenance of equipment
Non-essential Job Functions
Regularly attend or participate in large community activities
Participate in nearly all store events
Requirements
Previous Store Manager, Department Manager, or equivalent experience
Ability to pass a background check as described in the Safe Hiring Plan
Advanced knowledge and experience with computer systems
Experience using office suites in a business setting, or equivalent education
Ability to follow written instructions exactly
Ability to communicate clearly with employees, customers, and vendors

Quarterly Bonus of $0 - $2,496 is offered based on goal achievement
