Position: Maintenance/Custodial.

Reports to: Facilities Manager and Chief of Staff
Location: Saint Patrick Cathedral 153
The principal duty of all employees is to assist in the mission of the Church in the Diocese of Fort Worth.
General Position Summary :
- Perform cleaning and routine maintenance duties of church building, auxiliary buildings and church grounds.
- Act as back up for Rectory House keeper as needed.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Provide recommendations to the Facilities Manager on ongoing requirements related to facilities.
- Perform preventive maintenance, sweep, mop, vacuum and shampoo floors tend to garbage as needed.
- Make note and report items needing repair.
- Schedule and coordinate repairs and maintenance for requirements beyond personal capabilities.
- Attend to emergencies when necessary.
- set up and tear down for events as needed.
- Assist in Facility projects as required.
- Keep inventory of supplies needed to accomplish day to day duties and report when needing more.
- Other duties of a janitorial or maintenance nature as may arise but not specifically listed.
- All other Tasks as assigned.

Working Conditions and or Physical Requirements
- Must be able to physically perform Job Duties above successfully to include lifting 50 pounds without assistance.
- Must have essential physical and mental capabilities in the following: Interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, following directions, comprehension, reading, writing, speaking, evaluating, organizing and innovation.
- Must be able to safely operate and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; floor buffers, extractors, high pressure washers, vacuums, power lift, etc.
- Must be able to follow directions regarding the safe and appropriate use of chemicals and supplies.
- Must be able to comply with hiring requirements, both Federal and those of the Diocese of Fort Worth.
- Able to work 40 hour week.
- Able to work Late Nights, Holidays, Weekends As Required.
- Able to be on your feet for an extended period of time.
Travel Requirements
- 10% Travel required with in the Diocese of Fort Worth
Education and Experience Preferred
- Highschool Diploma or GED.
- Basic Mechanical Knowledge
- Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge and Skills
- Catholic In Good standing (preferred)
- Working Knowledge of the Catholic Faith
- Use of cleaning equipment.
