2024 Intern Project Description

Problem/Question:  The Foundation has provided grants all over Alaska and to hundreds, if not thousands, of organizations.  The question is – where and who have we missed?

Outcome.  Work towards the following outcomes.

  • Build a dataset reflecting all eligible grantees in Alaska with a process to update it annually.

  • Determine best practice metrics to reflect whom the grantee serves, focused on underrepresented populations. Add these metrics to the dataset.

  • Compare the dataset with our past giving to who have we missed funding and hypothesize root causes
