Electronics Technician / Passenger Rail Mechanic

The Electronics Technician / Passenger Rail Mechanic will be responsible for the day-to-day electrical service needs as part of a project to restore railroad passenger cars and locomotives. They must adhere to and maintain strict compliance with corporate/office policies and procedures, established health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

• Responsible for the day-to-day electrical service needs on various railroad rolling stock
• Ensures all needed electrical supplies are on hand
• Ensures all personal safety equipment is readily available, in good condition, and used properly
• Performs other related duties, including mechanical repairs, as required or assigned

• Requires High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing and reasoning skills).
• Ability to work with A/C and DIC current, as well as 3-phase 480 volt electric, and perform mechanical repair tasks, as needed
• Ability to read basic schematics and troubleshoot electrical problems
• Must enroll in Drummac's Apprentice Program for Passenger Rail Mechanic training within 120 days of hire
• Must have great communication skills, and be able to work well in group settings or individually
• Positive work history / personnel record
• Must be able to follow directives for all electrical and mechanical tasks
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, and overtime
• Successful completion of a pre-employment screening process
