Network Administrator

A network administrator is responsible for the daily operation of an organization's computer networks, ensuring that the infrastructure is running smoothly and efficiently. They install, support, and manage the networks and computers within an organization, as well as configure network hardware like servers, routers, and switches. Additionally, they play a crucial role in maintaining network security, troubleshooting problems, and providing technical support for all users.

JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

•Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot the organization's network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.

•Collaborate with healthcare professionals and IT team members to design and implement network solutions that meet the organization's needs.

•Monitor and analyze network performance to identify and resolve network-related issues and bottlenecks.

•Implement and maintain network security protocols to protect patient information and other sensitive data.

•Conduct regular network capacity planning and upgrade recommendations.

•Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.

•Participate in the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

•Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices and make recommendations to improve the organization's network infrastructure.

•Configure and maintain VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) systems and related technologies.

Installation Project Responsibilities:

•Collaborate with IT Director to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.

•Work under the direction of the Project Manager to manage and oversee multiple projects at a time.

•Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.

•Coordinate project activities, tasks, and dependencies to ensure smooth execution.

•Track project progress and milestones, identifying potential risks and issues.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in network administration, preferably in the healthcare industry.

•CompTia Network + or the ability to pass within the first 90 days of employment.

•Ubiquiti management experience strongly preferred.

•Ability to managed multiple projects at a time with little supervision.

•Hands-on experience upgrading, caballing, & installing networking equipment

•Experience with network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems.

•Certifications regarding networking, security, and project management are a plus but not required.

•Travel up to 50% is required for this position. Fuel reimbursement will be provided on a case-by-case basis.

Salary Description

$48,000- $52,000 / year
