Armed Security Officer at Crime Prevention Security

Crime Prevention Security Inc Headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI is looking for multiple security officers to join our team.

Our ideal candidate is punctual, attentive, motivated, and reliable.

Security Officer position maintains security for assigned areas to ensure protection of clients, visitors, property and equipment.

Responsibilities include:

*Watches for irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contacts emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel as required.

*Remains alert for the presence of unauthorized persons and/or security code violators; approaches suspicious person and/or notifies police as appropriate.

*Examines doors, windows, and gates to ensure security; uses client keys to open and close buildings; monitors closed buildings for unauthorized persons and/or suspicious activities.

*Prepares routine, standardized reports.

*Provides escorts as necessary.

*Informs and warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.

*May provide specialized security in complex operational areas, requiring specific knowledge of the operating environment.*Performs miscellaneous other job-related duties as assigned. Job Skills and

Responsibilities:

Must be customer service oriented. Communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing. Walk and climb stairs. Walk/stand extended periods of time. Work outside in extreme weather conditions. See and hear accurately in both day and nighttime conditions. Comprehend numerous policies, procedures, concepts and to be able to respond using discretion and interpretive judgment based on general and specific policies. Retain knowledge, information, and directions on an ongoing basis and communicate effectively with others. Maintain accurate records. React appropriately in emergency situations.

Compensation:

Our basic armed entry rate is $13.00-$15.00 per hour.

Crime Prevention Security, Inc. Is looking for full-time and part-time Security Officers. Positions are open for midnight, days and afternoon shift at this time, twenty-four (24) hour a day, seven day a week, 365 days a year operation which requires working assigned 12 hour shifts. We can be flexible with hours depending on needs.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age. No felony record in your criminal history. We are flexible according to our scheduling availability. We have both Company Vehicle patrol site which does require a VALID Michigan Driver's License with less than 3 points and MUST Have A Valid CPL. You are required to be able to read, write and verbally communicate. This occurs through written site duties and written activity logs created by you for the client. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is interested in pursuing the security industry.
